1:1 Somatic Guidance

So that you may inhabit a clear, vibrant, and intuitive body

In these sessions, I offer you deep attunement and a space to practice sensitizing yourself to the language of your body. There are multiple ways we can approach this container. Together, we can explore questions that are relevant in your life, approaching them through the body to somatically be with and become clear on your feelings, desires, and inner truths.

We can also utilize this space ceremonially, to approach and move through thresholds, like ending a relationship or entering into a new role. I believe that the deepest expression of crossing a threshold is settling into a new embodiment. When we pass through a threshold into a new chapter or way of being, and the body is alive to the moment, the change that we feel has a ground to land in and a place to root through.

Journeys I’ve held include:

  • Death ceremony, a ritual for saying goodbye when a significant chapter in life comes to a close

  • Letting go of energetic tensions

  • Feeling into grief and loss

  • Exploring the connection of body and vocal expression

  • Sensing into two opposites, to understand how they feel in the body

  • Exploring the somatic imprint of a specific wound

  • Expanding the capacity to receive through the senses

Through repairing your instinct and nurturing your sensitivity, this practice awakens and enlivens your body, so that you can feel more of this precious life.

This work is appropriate for all - whether you have never engaged your body and energy in this way, or it is a consistent habit in your life wanting a rich place to land. If you are new to this mode of inquiry, we will move slowly, introducing the layers and leaving plenty of time for integration.

Cultivating a sensitive body is about becoming wider in our capacity to feel and communicate with our sensations and intuitions.

When you listen to your subtle truths, you gain clarity into the most honest parts of yourself. You can then speak from those honest parts, and create shifts in your relationships and realities to honor these places inside of you.

The ‘quieter’ voices in you - your body, energy, and intuition - will become louder. Rather than having to strain to listen to these parts of yourself, they will come into an equal conversation with your mind, meaning that more of yourself is in each of your interactions and choices.

A vibrant relationship to life

You will have more and more moments of feeling the deep sensuality of the sun on your skin, the ground underneath your feet, a hug from a loved one, the sound of your own voice. Beauty becomes more apparent the more we appreciate what is around us.

What does it mean to repair my instinct?

In this practice, you will retrain your body to move with its feelings. For most of us, at some point we learn to control our expression, and in doing so we disrupt the instinct of our bodies and nervous systems. In somatic practice, we repair the instinct so that as we deepen in our sensitivity to feel more, we are also well equipped to move with the emotional energy we encounter. The body knows how to serve itself, which is to say the physical body that you were born into knows, inherently, how to move to allow an energy/feeling to move through. As you deepen into this practice, you will remember your inherent capacity for a width that can hold the breadth of your experience.

The pathway

  • Resting into a nourished body

    In the first sessions, you may find that it is challenging to slow down and rest. This is an essential foundation of somatic practice. I will guide you into deep and wide slowness so that you can be nourished and better hear the authentic truth of your body.

  • Becoming fluent in the language of your body

    From within your relaxed body, you will learn to notice sensation and the instinctual ways your body wants to move, vocalize, or be still. We will practice listening and responding to these subtle cues.

  • Honing your attuned embodiment

    Practicing with the feelings and questions that are alive in your body, I will guide you through somatic journeys to interface with your body and energy. Here, you will develop the habit of attunement and expression that you can utilize in your everyday life.
