Welcome,

I was raised by the gentle and wild landscape of coastal California, where lush trees and grasses intertwine and cover soft and fragrant soil, and the echo of the tumultuous ocean carving the cliffside can be heard all around. The sounds of the Earth and its inhabitants glide through the air, and the pacing of this land’s life, growth, and rest slows time until I feel my breath deepening, my thoughts surrendering to the spacious quiet, and my footsteps falling more slowly as my feet widen in contact with the ground.

This is the way of living that makes the most sense to me. I believe that it is our inheritance as embodied beings to feel the rich sensuality of this world, to move slowly enough to be moved, and to feel as connected to our world as it is inherently connected to itself.

I have dedicated my life to being moved and moveable. I feel that we are all vessels for some kind of beauty that wants to be shared in the world, and the more deeply we can listen, the more clearly we can align with what wants to embody through us. I serve life by lovingly disarming the sticky and rigid pieces that keep us in familiar grooves, and joyfully inviting the radiance that I see.

I am devoted to my sensitivity and nurturing the sensitivity in others, so that we may all feel the world deeply and engage in the sacredness of this life.

As a dance teacher, artist, somatic guide, and human, I have watched and seen that my impact is this:

  • I open people's perspectives on what they could choose to pay attention to, calling them towards what is subtle and soulful.

  • I teach people to listen and orient towards their beautiful depths. I invite them to see the world of sensitivity inside - a place that is always ready to feel, hear, see, and sense the world deeply.

  • I (re)introduce the world as animate and relational. I lead people towards the awareness that they are in relationship with the living world around them, and they can take pleasure and support in that.

  • I am a softening agent - I assist people in softening into their feelings by being revealed in mine and with my deep enthusiasm for theirs.

As a teacher and guide, I have held people through:

  • Death ceremony, a ritual for saying goodbye when a significant chapter in life comes to a close

  • Opening the authentic expression available in body and voice

  • Exploring the embodiment of a feeling or wound

  • Awakening the sensory body

  • Releasing attachments to past identities and experiences

  • Somatically contemplating a circumstance or decision in life

  • Exploring trust and intimacy through energetically-focused contact improvisation

If this type of practice resonates with you, please reach out. I would love to journey with you.
